With that being said, what are some other signs or symptoms something may be wrong with it? Just concerning because a month ago, it didn’t drop that much.

    Piper Cherokee magneto drop

I have a 1969 piper Cherokee with bendix magnetos. I’ve recently noticed during a run up the left magneto drops around 100 rpm. Approx 50 more than the right. It runs smooth, no issues and I’ve tried burning it off with little to no effect. Curious if this is a problem or not. Sometimes...

    ADSB install in Pennsylvania

Yeah I spoke with one installer who had an issue with a tail beacon. Said everytime it was on the VOR indicator was all screwed up and not reading correctly. Through trial and error, they found it was a bad ground going into the original tail light.

I have it scheduled to get installed at a reasonable price. I did have an IA, who won’t install any uavionix stuff, say since it is being mounted on a control surface, top of the rudder, it’s going to affect the controls now. Ive read the difference between the beacon and nav light is a...

    1969 Piper Cherokee stabilator movement

It seems when it begins that upward movement, the stabilator binds a bit and isn’t totally free. After freeing it moves smooth again. But it’s so far aft, the plane would never be flown in that configuration.

    1969 Piper Cherokee stabilator movement

As I’m continuing my quest as a new aircraft owner and utilizing this forum for various questions, I had one in regards to the stabilator on the Cherokee. During a preflight it appears the stabilator is free to move up and down no issues. When moving it up at a certain point, it seems it sticks...

1969 Piper Cherokee loose orange hose??

Good information. This scat tubing runs from the air scoop to the gascolator box. Pretty straightforward and easy, after scraping my knuckles up reaching in there.

1969 Piper Cherokee loose orange hose??

Not to beat a dead horse and I have read through the AIM, but as the aircraft owner can I replace the scat tubing from the air intake to the electric fuel pump? It’s literally a hose with a clamp on each end.
