For Sale SOLD [NA] Portable Freedom CPaP Battery

Got an SI for OSA and want a travel battery that doesn't impact your payload? Sister bought this for a sailing vacation last June. However, the captain ran the genset at night so it wasn't needed. It is in perfect condition and used only once or twice. Includes the 24V AC converter required...

Someone Just Had a Very Bad Day in D.C.

It was me. I flew right over the north end of Dulles at 10,000 MSL. I was doing 240 Kts and didn't talk to a soul. Of course, I was in seat 9A on SW Airlines at the time.

    For Sale Skyhawk Yoke

This single yoke came with my plane when I bought it, but I have aftermarket yokes so no need for it. It's well used and I cannot attest to its airworthiness. I have no idea whether it has any value but would be happy to see this find a new home. $20 + ship?

Joined the League of Temporary Airmen today!

So which one is Jim and which is Denny? Congrats whoever you are! (I'm guessing the one on the left with the bigger grin?)

Ocala FL, fatal crash on city street

Trying to make sense of the dialogue as quoted in the article (ATC's): "We need to return to the field, sir," the pilot told an air traffic controller in a transmission. "Make a turn and head back to the east, outside of the delta, please, for possible emergency, please," the air traffic...

What do you do for living (or used to)?

In my cart! Are you the author? Writing fiction well is a cross between a gift and an artform. I tried it in college as a non-fiction writing major and knew soon enough I didn't have that gene.

Dayumm - I'd read your book if you wrote it Sac.

    Disappointed in Aircraft Spruce

Sounds like employees aren't empowered to make decisions or don't give a flying frac. Both are a problem. OTOH, calling them about stickers on a Monday morning when there's probably AOG in desperate need of parts is an invitation to long hold times...

    Heading up to Niagra Falls

Agree 100% - well worth it IME. Looks like today would have been perfect to head up there. It's just over 2.2 hrs from TZR up to IAG. Been wanting to make that trip for several years.

    Crosswind landing rollout issues.

This has been a good thread. I have occasionally felt squirrely on the ground so last landing I looked down as I slowed to taxi speed and noticed I wasn't putting in full aileron deflection. I thought I was but wasn't.

    Bad Arrow III Wing Spar

Being contrarian here: If the owner were to pay to have the spar issue repaired, isn't that now a selling point, given the pending AD? We already know the wing can come off an Archer, wouldn't your Dad feel more confident knowing one or preferably BOTH of the wings have been inspected and...

Cherokee lands on road and hits BMW.

LOL, here's the truth. My 530i's right turn signal stopped working about 2+ years ago. I noticed during temperature swings it would occasionally work. This summer during a particularly scorching heat wave, it started working 100% of the time and continues to do so to this day. Getting an...

    Beech Sport 411

This one was a B19 Sport 150, last flew out of Lexington in 2015 (FlightAware) now appears to be deregistered. It showed 130 mph so looks like you're spot on. Still, that's 15-20 mph faster than my SloHawk by comparison.

    Beech Sport 411

How slow is slow in a baby Beech? Saw one yesterday rotting away on the ramp in KY, KSYM. :(

    LUA Luray Caverns 10/5

@Deelee, Back in November of 2012, we flew from Ohio and had a great time! Caverns are really cool and no problem with shuttles back and forth to there and to town. Highly recommend! It had snowed a day or two before so we saw some white stuff on the way...

    First Flight Lesson and Questions

There's a bunch down your way in all directions. KPMH is breakfast or lunch and only 35 NMs to your West so you'll become familiar with that place. You can get the loaner car and go into town to see the flood-wall murals. Just 169 nauticals to your east is Luray, KLUA which has shuttles to...

    First Flight Lesson and Questions

Do a cross country to Sportys at Clermont County, i69. They have a display stand with a bunch you can put on and listen to. And a store with pretty ladies behind the counter! :) Oh and go around noonish on a Saturday for free brats on the grill but you better hurry.

Does this dent in my wing need to be repaired?

Let me walk that back a bit. What I meant was call my broker (Wenk Aviation takes my money) and ask what if any course of action they recommend. I didn't mean to imply call Avemco and file a claim.
