Deciding between QT Halo and Clarity Aloft Link

I have both, love both, use both. However I do have a problem with the Halo in my Cherokee, my intercom and the Halos don't get along where as the CA's work great. I love them for long distance but kind of a hassle for flight around the patch or a 20 min. flight for the $100 eggs and bacon. I...

"Hey hit me up when you got some more time in that thing!"

Same here lots of interest until I asked. I have learned not to bother, their loss. I also bought a small single place bipe to bomb around in and am loving that!

    1941 Taylorcraft project for sale

Yeah but you will have a brand new "old airplane"! Plus not to many airplanes will go a 100mph on less fuel.

    1941 Taylorcraft project for sale

I have a project BC-12 Deluxe is for sale. It was a flying plane but in long term storage when I took possession about 10 years ago. It is a pre-war, with built up ribs, Cont. 65, with two doors and the aluminum grill parts and side chrome strips. Two of the aluminum grill pieces are 100%...

Adhering Fairings With RTV - 2 Year Update

Are you sure it was RTV silicone. Axcell (sp) is a urethane used for wood basements and window installs and is tough as hell to remove and sticks like glue to clean surfaces. But it is even more expensive then RTV and more difficult to locate as the cheap box stores don't carry it. You have...

I too am in a partnership with three great people and love it. a great way to get more airplane for your money, mine allows me to have my 4 place wit good cruise, good avionics, and auto pilot; and my small aerobatic biplane at the same time.

How high have you flown in a low HP plane.

PPC count? If so I had buddies powered chute up to 7,500' with twin 15 hp motors (30hp total) giving me a 2.50. Took me almost an hour to get there and about 15 minutes or less to get back down.

I used the chute today. I am lucky to be alive.

A long time ago In a land far far away I had a PP up to 7,000' but doing touch and goes and staying below 50' was a lot more fun. It was an awesome way to take the edge off but flying around at 25 mph did get old after awhile. My local airport is a mile and a half away from town, one flight it...

    Check Ride Scheduled

I'm sure people here will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe by the PTS you are able to continue the check ride if you so choose. If it was too windy too fly in the first place and you continued that is construed as your fault, if it was too windy because the checker thought so, does not...

Am I ready for the written exam (PPL)?

Good on you, now get going on the fun part. Learning by wrote is not even in the same ball park as really getting to do the fun stuff!

    Piper Archer Checkout - Done!

Cherokee, Challenger, Archer, Arrow, Warrier, Dakota, take your pick, all PA-28. I fly a Challenger, call in as a Cherokee, no problems. All the same except for minor variations. I know, I know, there is good cause for flame here (be nice) but they are all PA-28.

Gas - how low can it go?

I'm based out of KFEP in NW Illinois. We just got a load of 100LL: it came by tanker, of course, from Minniapolis, MN. About 350 miles one way. Aviation fuel will never get close to auto prices, we just don't use enough.

    Should I buy a parachute?

:goofy:Been there done that. Exciting to say the least. I was able to get out and watch the Loadstar go down below me. The pilot recovered a couple of thousand feet below me but I was already accelerating to terminal and went by him again!
