how to find a ferry pilot

I need a CFI for a check out, I figure I can combine it instead of flying in circles in Phoenix in the summer time so my insurance will be happy.

how to find a ferry pilot

Yea Fairbanks they talk, if you don’t they’ll remind everyone on frequency about that every few minutes, or so I’ve heard. Would be bringing it up to Kotz for some gas but it’s pretty easy to point the plane north from Fairbanks to get there.

how to find a ferry pilot

I am looking at picking up another plane, seems to be decent deals down there in civilization. I haven't spent much flight time down there since my initial, where would I go about finding someone who isn't as dumb as me to fly with me from say Arizona to Fairbanks. I did a search and looks...

    use a needle next time

Damn Kobuk. That’s where I was landing. Them chips is cursed. Tim’s Jalapeño for the record. The biggest bag. Not sure which but sure was the loudest I’ve heard.

    use a needle next time

Leveling off at 10.5 the other night to get above an ice filled overcast layer ahead. Pulled the prop back a tad and a chip bag from hell decided to wake me. Loudest bang I heard, and the cabin was filled with the smell of jalapeno chip goodness. After I checked everything I realized what it...

    school me on class e/g

Myself and a newly minted L48 CFI were discussing Class E, specifically at noncontrolled airports with published approaches. He asked me if one could legally depart if the wx at the field is below class E VFR mins without asking for a special, I told him as long as one stays below E in class G...

    For Sale garmin 530 waas

Still available. Used it for a few ifr crosscountries but I don’t really need it. Haven’t pulled it from the plane yet, works fine and looks new. Got busy and didn’t bother trying to sell it last year. No antenna, using that for the new gps, just the rack, data card reader and Gps navcom included.

    mixing fine and massive electrodes

Champion shows 40e or 38s on the 470 in a 182, wasn’t sure if it would be good to mix the two heat ranges so ordered tempest 38e’s to go with the 38s’s

    mixing fine and massive electrodes

quick question, my plane has fine wire 38’s on the bottom and 38E’s on top, I ordered replacement plugs on spruce for the top plugs and ordered the 40e’s it called for on the 0470. Didn’t realize it had 38e’s from its last annual. I didn’t want to mix 40s and 38s so I dropped in tempest 38e’s...

Cessna 182 tight dogleg gravel bar.

You sure a 207 wouldn’t be better. With them feathers nearly touching it’s practically a performance mod with them wings angled to fly :D

    Critique my Alaska/Canada survival kit

Or better yet Velcro a marine radio to the panel. Just a hunch but channel 68 would probably pick up a lot of chatter if you need someone to talk to in a pinch.

    Critique my Alaska/Canada survival kit

Moose are scarier to me then bears but bring something with 100% deet or else it will make you wish you brought a firearm to stop the suffering. People from the states will never understand how well they swarm, or how many you can swallow if you try to run from the little critters.

    182 door post AD

Did I miss some big rush on these parts, the price from Cessna jumped from $1120(920) on AirPower to over $6000. Seems a bit extreme?

    182 door post AD

My carpet is out for the annual, we just stuck a borescope through the inspection hole and fed it forward, wasn’t very difficult

    182 door post AD

In other words a big hole is cut to get to them. Ordered a kit from air power, seemed to be the cheapest. Now if I can get the flap follow cable on the 182L working right maybe It’ll be in the air sooner rather then later.
