Had a fun day, first dual cross country - Pics

Didn't go up there. Went from KABQ to Las Vegas, then over to Trementina and back to KABQ for my cross-country. I was just excited my CFI was all-in when I told him about the Trementina/Scientology place and we could go there for my first dual cross-country.

Had a fun day, first dual cross country - Pics

Went up to KLVS (Las Vegas, NM) then about 30miles SE to see the Scientology Compound/Trementina Base. I saw this place many years ago on Google Earth and have been facinated by it ever since. Today I finally got to see it from the air. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Student Pilot Certificate

I'll admit I haven't looked at BasicMed at all...but don't you need a 3rd class first and then subsequent medicals can be BasicMed? Or can you start out under BasicMed?

    The phrase "With You"

In my short time (about a year training...I'm going at a slow pace) I've come to the conclusion that pilots will argue and complain about this simplest things, mostly having to do with semantics. If hearing "with you" or something else if the biggest bother in your day, count yourself lucky.

So, student pilots.. Who are we and where do we stand?

1.2 under the hood yesterday, 1.6 total on the flight. Did steep turns (first 4-5 were terrible), slow flight, emergency engine failure (did that because I forgot to pull carb heat on in slow flight, so he said "you lost your engine") which was pretty difficult under the hood for the first...

So, student pilots.. Who are we and where do we stand?

Didn't get to fly today...plane wouldn't start. It was really cold out (0*C) and someone pulled the oil heater stick out of it a couple hours early. So we did a flight planning exercise and talked about my first dual cross-country. Should be fun! Got a good one scheduled for the 16th, my first...

Need some help choosing an online ground school

I’ve been using the ASA online ground school. It’s been really good for me. Although I have done some one on one time with my CFI to cover stuff I don’t quite get. It’s very helpful and worth it to be to talk through things instead of just relying solely on the online stuff.
