Idk, but flying withdrawal can be pretty dangerous. Nearly blew a red light into some pretty heavy traffic while watching a KC-135 on short final to McConnell AFB after not flying for a while. Luckily, I was on the way to a Citabria :D

Absolutely. Didn't get into aviation for travel reasons, and if it came down to it, I'll fly something that my car can outrun in rush hour traffic just to fly. Besides, some ultralights I've seen look pretty fun.

No arguments here, just too many variables involved in handling a shutdown on approach. Saving the prop or the engine should be the last thing on anyone's mind.
