    ME-262 crash today

Little bit more info, not a CAF plane. http://www.oaoa.com/news/local/article_4029b3ca-ac37-11e2-86e1-0019bb30f31a.html Glad the pilot and passenger are alright, hopefully the damage to the plane's not unrepairable. Wondering if it is the Collings 262.

    E6B + Plotter Suggestions?

Works great for Fly Baby's and open cockpits - strap it down to the turtledeck and off ya go.

    Corrupt my wish

Granted. You swap the contents of the cinnamon and cayenne shakers and congratulate yourself on your ingenuity while making another bowl of oatmeal. Unfortunately, wrapped up in your accomplishment, you subconsciously grab the "cinnamon" shaker and add a little kick to your oatmeal instead. I...

    E6B + Plotter Suggestions?

Haven't had a problem with my ASA E6B, it's been pretty durable and hasn't scratched very easily. As for plotters, I lose them like crazy, but both the Sporty's and Jepp ones I've had were fine. I generally don't use the scale on the sliding part of the E6B unless my plotter's gone missing again...

    Fly-In Pics

Nice, I'd never heard of Ector or the O-540 rebuild on a L-19. Nice catch, it's a great looking plane. Gotta spend some time daydreaming about where I can get $140,000 now.

Didn't realize there were that many PoA members in Colorado. Add me to the list, student pilot at KAPA.

    E6B vs AirNav

Gotta disagree. I'm probably in the minority of students, but I don't own a smart phone, iPad, GPS, or a calculator outside of my abacus (ok, maybe not that far.) E6B's still relevant, the electronic options are just that, alternative options, and I actually enjoyed learning and using the E6B. I...

    E6B vs AirNav

At work, so no access to a sectional to check, but running it through FlyQ it's coming up as 29.7. You could accidentally be using the WAC or TAC scales instead of the sectional scale when measuring it out.
