It's Time! Anything to prepare for?

The presolo segment of your training is for getting familiar with flying the plane and learning pertinent information to solo. You don't necessarily have to know much of anything prior to starting since that's what this portion of training is for. You can get a leg up on it, but don't get too...

How hard would it be to do this?

    206. Half tanks, useful load of at least 1200. 6 200 lb people.

How hard would it be to do this?

Well, my idea is better than flight schools because that explicitly what I'll be in business for. I'll advertise heavily and make it all about joy rides for groups. Keep in mind when I say "I'll do x," I mean in dream world I'll do it. None of this stuff is actually going to happen.

How hard would it be to do this?

Flight schools don't fly groups of people on scenic sight-seeing trips. That's not what they're there for. An introductory flight is not an attraction for tourists to go up and enjoy the sights, it's for new students to get acquainted with aviation. The two can't be pressed into the same service.

How hard would it be to do this?

I agree that Nashville is not a spectacular area to see from the air. I was mainly just trying to offer something to the party people who want to do something extra cool and fun. "Hey guys, instead of partying on a wagon pulled by a John Deere tractor, let's go up in a plane!" I suppose...

How hard would it be to do this?

I don't know. I think people could dig it for 30 mins to an hour. I guess I wasn't necessarily gearing it towards partying people. Mainly just anyone who wants to go up. They walk through the hotel lobby and see a brochure that offers aerial tours of their favorite city. "Hey honey, we should do...

Yeah, I was thinking the same. God, I didn't think about that.

How hard would it be to do this?

I know. Like I said from the outset, this is something that will almost certain never happen. I'm just kind of spectulating and seeing how good of an idea it is, and how feasible it is. Seems like, according to the skepticism here, a business that's likely not to go far.

How hard would it be to do this?

Because flight schools don't just put out ads that say "Hey, we offer scenic aerial tours of the city". That's not what their business is for, and that's not what they do. And no tourist shows up to the city and says "hey, lets contact the local flight school and schedule an introductory lesson...

Also, if there were anything like this in Nashville, I would know about it. I work at the nexus of it all. There is no talk or hear of anything like this being done around town. I think it would work.

I'm pretty sure there are helicopter tours. But I think planes would be better.

Yeah, but you're talking about lessons though right?

How hard would it be to do this?

From the outset, I just want to say that this is likely a wild and crazy idea that would probably be impractical and unfeasible, but I still wanted to throw it out there and get the opinions of seasoned pilots on it. Okay so, I work in Nashville, right. I work in hospitality. For those who...

Number of questions regarding certificates and careers

Fair enough. Right now I'm just a kid sitting at home BSing on the internet and striking up conversation. When the time comes to get serious and know my stuff, I will buckle down. I'm a little bit older now than I was last time I flew regularly. I wanted my license so bad back then and my...
