    Not winglets (the pointy up ends of the wings), but sculpted wing TIPS. Not sure when they became standard, but my 1986 252 had them from the factory.

    A hundred planes in the service volume of a single DME station is a LOT of planes. :D And a DME/DME nav system would be using closer DMEs versus ones far away. O'Hare has about 78 operations per hour on average.

    Rudder pedal extensions are 1.4 or 3 inches. FTFY :) I can't imagine the leg length to be able to reach the rudder pedals with the seat all the way back.

    AGI is simple if you do the CFI written at the same time. Same with IGI and Instrument or II written. You could also do your FOI and AGI around the time you do you Commercial rating. AGI is a good way to keep your FOI from "expiring."

    The insurance company will set some minimums. But it is also a personal thing, like setting personal minimums. Are YOU comfortable with flying a multi and dealing with potential emergencies.

    DME limit is about 100 aircraft per transmitter. 252 frequencies for DME. Stations are not huge, would not be hard to place them at other (cell, repeater, etc) transmitter sites. And DME/DME navigation has been around for a long time. So not inventing anything new.
