    Escrow companies are now being required by their banks to document a lot of information that has not heretofore been required. The US Treasury dept (who else) has mandated new "know your customer" rules that can cause a bit PITA, especially with legitimate international transactions. BTDT.

    The aviation catalogs sell the plug material "kits. Each contains a square section of yellow plug material along with the cords and stuff for DIY. They cost ~$20 but are the right stuff for the job.

    The switches that Cessna pilots often can't find or forget about are located on the doorposts. One operates the interior ceiling light, the other controls the little torpedo light mounted in the wing root.

    Yep, it seems like a perfect catch-22. I know (or hope) that I'll be conscious and able to activate the beacon in flight, but there's a chance I could break it. I also know from talking to Corky about the accident in JC's Husky that he didn't have time to get his vest off the seat-back before...

    King Air cabins are much more comfortable, fuel burn is 60% of Citation. They won't outrun the Citations, (360 vs 280 knot speed) but on short trips the time doesn't matter all that much. King Air engines can run for 8,000 hours between overhauls, the older citations were figmo at 3,500 hours...
