    Restaurant in Longmont

The little trailer restaurant at KLMO wants to qualify for a grant to expand their services. They need votes to get this. Here's what I was sent in an email from the Colorado Pilots Association. Give 'em a vote if you'd like to see a better restaurant there. "Hello Flight Deck Grill Friends ...

    Accident at KEIK in Colorado

I read an article in the Daily Camera and it looks like the new owner in the leaseback to Skyraider only owned the plane for less than 2 weeks. Bummer. And the instructor in the plane was Matt Korn.

Practicalities and economics of Private Pilot

I'd like that deal. The FBO at my airport charges 3.5 hrs/day for a 172.

Practicalities and economics of Private Pilot

I was smitten. Not quite as much anymore. It's scarier with the family in the 172. I just got my license so maybe I'm having that scared feeling like I did when I first started learning to fly. But my goal has always been since I started training, to build a plane. That's my end goal...and to...

    Accident at KEIK in Colorado

I've never seen that website until now. That's pretty impressive you found that. Watching that one take off at 8:22am and then turn into midfield from the pattern is odd. I wonder if the pilot was trying to make an emergency landing on the closed runway. I know we'll find out soon enough.

    Accident at KEIK in Colorado

Can I speculate? Fuel starvation. I'm only saying that because I flew that plane when I first started and I just knew one day I'd forget to switch tanks. Anyway, it's a bit of a strange feeling seeing a picture of a plane I trained in all bunched up at a stop sign.

    Alcohol and the medical

5 drinks a day...as simple as it gets...you've crossed the line. That's a simple definition I got from listening to Dr. Dean Edell. Subjective questions don't work...actual quantity seems to be what takes you from control to abuse.

    Alcoholism question on medical exam

What is the definition of alcoholism? Is it liver enzymes? Rhetorical.

    DEN Summer WX finally arrived

It looks like it could explode or some deity is about to emerge. If this wasn't an aviation forum I might guess that picture was a scan of someone's polyp gone wild.

    Landing and eating mainly

Thanks! That was very helpful. It you had a tip jar I'd use it....to tip that is. I bet there are some books out there that I need to read about flying adventures and if there's one called what you should know and do after getting your PPL, I'd buy it.

    Landing and eating mainly

I have no idea who owns what at an airport and where I taxi to and all that other stuff besides what I had to do to learn fly a plane. I don't know if you call the FBO before you get there or after. I don't know if you bring your own ropes to tie down or not. Learning to fly did not include this...

Very helpful you guys. Thanks. Vector Air just got a Skycatcher so I'll get checked out in that and try to get to a Solo's fly in if we can get one going. (http://www.vectorair.net/Flt%20Fleet.htm $98.00 / hour - wet 100hp / carburetor heat Cruise Speed - 109 kts Avionics - Garmin G-300)

    Landing and eating mainly

I'll get with Murphey. Thanks Clark. I'm sure it's appropriate to buy something if I'm going to use something of theirs. Just how much qualifies is kinda what I want to know. If I would like to borrow their car (and I am renting wet) do I ask for 10 gallons to make them happy? There can't be...

    Landing and eating mainly

I'm new to flying and want to land at airports with restaurants. I'm renting a 172 . It seems like the restaurants should be able to answer if I get charged something for parking. I called Perfect Landings (at KAPA) and they had to call an FBO to see if I would get charged. It also seems like...
