    Sun Damage

While the FAA typically wants MOHS, I've had removal in clinic, non-MOHS which I submitted the pathology reports showing clear margins and the FAA approved without issue. I was once offered a topical by a dermatologist and declined choosing surgical process due to needing to keep the FAA happy.

LOL. Damn Autocorrect. Yeah the nasal cells may have been brain cells running out. Could not afford to loose the few functional ones I still have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nope. You and other members here paid for it through the VA who paid the private practice specialist who did it. I had Basal cells removed while still on active duty. Service connected and covered. Thanks! I don’t think the doc was a pilot. [emoji848][emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Sun Damage

I had MOHS procedure for a Basal Cell over/in my right eyebrow a few years back. I bit unnerving, but no pain during procedure. Ended up having a an approximate a large section cut out to get everything. Had some bruising and localized swelling for several days. Looked like I'd been punched...

Cheapo Casio. Actually, not that cheap when purchased, but still works fine ten year later. Solar powered.

    Your PIC Hours for 2018

My slowest year in many years. Two longer than expect Annuals (well, one was a Condition Inspection) and the wettest year here in the 15+ years I've been here. Airplanes at two different airport, one more than an hour drive away. Moving between hangars (and finally bringing my J-3 back home)...

    More expensive: One or Two?

I have an RV-4 for fun acro and quick day trips with an occasional longer overnight trips. I have a J-3, well, because it is a J-3 and I learned to fly in one and they are just fun to go play in the evenings. Not to mention I inherited it from my dad. My brother got the one we both learned to...

Have you experienced an unintentional stall/spin before?

I accidentally snap rolled a Pitts S-1S one day. Does that count since it is a horizontal spin? It was my second flight in a Pitts and I unintentionally stomped full left rudder as I threw full left aileron trying to see just how fast it would roll. I couldn't seem to disconnect the...

    Where to find experimentals

The disadvantage is when the workmanship is bad. I've seen that on a few kits. Depending upon how far along it is, it can make you worry about what might not be so easy to see that is hidden in enclosed stuff like control surfaces (thinking RV here). There are definitely some gems out there...

    Smallest registration string

Type is Experimental. Not sure how that helps them understand my number any better. Perhaps controllers should understand I am using full callsign on initial call like I'm supposed to. Most do. Only a few don't. I'll continue and explain to the very few who don't get it.

    Short field technique poll

I do it in the Cub, mostly for fun, but it could be useful in an unfriendly off field emergency landing. In the RV, I do short field approach at the home drome, but not as much with a behind the power curve type.
