Except that my airframe is on neither the GFC500 or GFC600 AML...AND my CIII is working perfectly...so...it's like Garmin is pushing me toward Aspen more and more every day as they are saying they don't care about my airframe or my autopilot.

If this would've included the Century III line, it would have been a slam dunk for a lot of folks. There are a lot of these units functioning just fine out there still today, mine included. I'm still twiddling my thumbs over here unless I want to spend money for an Aspen E5 AND the EA100.

Apparently not for my Century III. That's a non-starter for me. No incentive without full autopilot integration. Also, we're not being told what other equipment will be required to couple to these legacy autopilots. Surely there's a converter required somewhere in the process...

If you're serious about getting the Altimatic IIIc fixed or worked on at all, call Autopilots Central. They are extremely knowledgeable about legacy autopilots, and have helped me out twice with the Altimatic IIIc. Often times certain things can be adjusted, but others they need repaired...

Funny...I get XM through my Aera 796 with a $99 per year subscription. Could've done it on the GDL69A too before I had it removed to sell. You don't have to have weather with it.
