    An IA (Inspection Authorization) is an additional rating for an A&P. The IA is a designee of the FAA to perform inspections and approve certain items for return to service (simplified explanation). For your example in the OP, you need only an A&P.

    Do you exceed limitations in the PC-12 you fly on the part 135 certificate? :rolleyes: The discussion here is a crew not exceeding a defined limitation, not how manly you are in a GA SE airplane. As a "working ATP" you should understand the difference.
