737 Max First Flight - Video

Another 737 type. Ancient cockpit with glass displays. :raspberry: This new one is suppose to replace the 757, yet none of the comfort or performance to match. Yippee!

Pilot fighting cross winds or not?

Ever landed a transport jet with howling cross wind? Add in mechanical turbulence from the buildings and structures. I have many times, even in NRT where the OP video was made. It can be quite challenging to say the least.

    Happy Robert E. Lee's birthday!

Not offended here. Just amazed at your lack of knowledge on the subject. But I'm sure your uber liberal professor told you his version of history and you took the bait.

    Happy Robert E. Lee's birthday!

Please, go do some research and read actual history. A comment such as that just shows how clueless you are in regards to history.

    250 knot restriction dead?

Approach: "Lear 123 say airspeed?" Lear: "Lear 123 at 250 knots" Approach: "Roger, Southwest 456 say airspeed?" SW 456: "Uh, 456 is 250 knots" Approach: "OK Southwest 456, can you please slow to 200 knots indicated, you're over taking the lear ahead by 50 knots........."

    Correct.

    250 knot restriction dead?

Can be either. The usual scenario is a heavy (747,380,777) that has a clean speed above 250 on departure(heavy load).

    250 knot restriction dead?

For operational reasons (min clean speed) ATC can waive the restriction.

    Altimeter and class Alpha

(Caution: The following is sarcasm) Greg, Just how could you or Larry (or any pilot who routinely use TA/TL) could possibly know how this really works??

Why dont ppl carry helmets with them for emergency's?

So when will we expect an ejection seat STC for SE GA airplanes to become available?

    747 takeoff distance?

You need to know: Weight flap setting Temperature wind Computed thrust (max or flex) Then it becomes more apparent. But, if the aircraft is lightly loaded (empty?) and the fuel load is low (short trip) the air is cool and max thrust, then I wouldn't say 2700 feet would be out of...

Why dont ppl carry helmets with them for emergency's?

I use the tried and true method of maintaining proficiency and using training opportunities whenever presented, as well as using ADM and RM. This keeps me from having such accidents, so no need for the helmet.
