    making key copy?

Good idea, actually. Planes are so easy to "hot wire" there really is no point in removing the key.

    Mishap caught on Google Maps

Good one @PeterNSteinmetz ! I've goofed around with google satellite view. Around Hawaii, there are several places that you can see whales in the ocean. Around many of the big airports, you can catch airliners on approach/departure that makes them look like they are on a street or in a backyard.

The one thing I wish someone told me when I was a student

    "Don't stop being a student."

So who is flying these drones?

So if you're the drone operator, wouldn't you just stop at this point, wait a few weeks for things to die down, then start back up?

    NA Pepper Spray NA

I've been sprayed about a half dozen times with pepper spray for similar reasons. The first time I was sprayed, it was probably one of the worst experiences of my life, and I could only think of one thing: get me some water on my face. But from the second time on, it was only a minor...

When to make offer- before or after pre-buy?

I’ve done it both ways. When I’ve purchased from individuals, I’ve always done offer-then-ppi. But my current used plane, I bought from a dealer and I did ppi-then-offer.

I'll second that. Those are the places I try very hard to avoid.

FAA seems to encourage self weather/pre flight briefings

Could someone please explain: why the hell does 1800wxbrief.com require such stringent passwords? Are they afraid hackers are going to steal my weather briefings?

    My last flight

I once had a malfunctioning ignition switch, that when placed in the "both" position, sometimes was only allowing the left mag to function. My run-up/take-off/climb was exactly as you describe.

    Happy ADS-B Day! It's Begun

I’m just so glad that we can put an end to all those mid-air collision’s. Now I don’t even have to look out the windows while flying along on my magenta line.

Why the Foxtrot do I live here

Wow, you must really get the snow there. My blower is usually overkill where I’m at: 8” is a big storm, and I often (today, for example) have to remove the blower and put the back blade on, as the blower doesn’t like our daily two-inch snows.

Why the Foxtrot do I live here

Actually no. I'm an old country boy, who grew up with tractors, and I actually like the manual transmission. That pic shows a HST model with a blower, but like I said, that's just a pic like mine. Same model, different options. If I had to do a lot of forward-reverse, then the HST would be...

So who is flying these drones?

You don't suppose it has anything to do with this? https://www.faa.gov/news/press_releases/news_story.cfm?newsId=24534 Think about it: the FAA proposes a new rule requiring all drones be identified. To drum up support, they get a company to fly a bunch of "mysterious drones" to get everyone...

    Skybeacon issue

While adjusting my threshold, mine would ALWAYS pick up my squawk, but still get errors, until I adjusted it down (down until the errors stopped).

So who is flying these drones?

As a anti-Amazon person, I consider that Amazon is doing it the most "creepy" possibility.

Not big enough. My rig (Not actual pic, but one just like it) I actually look forward to snow just to use it:

    A Virginal Experience!

Nice, but I hate to think how much seed that took. I made a 1700 x 75 and I was absolutely shocked at how much seed I ended up using. Its been a long time now but I think I was somewhere around 50x more than I had originally figured, and I drove back so many times to the local elevator store...

Cross Country Help - Florida to California

I make a couple of long (800 nm +) flights in my Warrior every year. The only airports I avoid are Class Bs. Although I mainly use non-towered airports, I don't seek them out, nor do I intentionally avoid D's / C's either, its just the non-towered are WAY more common. As others have said...
