Something I've not seen mentioned here is that other countries that offer "free" collage also require you to pass exams to be qualified to go to school. Here for CC you just sign up and for many state schools you simply have to graduate from HS. Yes the top state schools do turn away a lot of...
I just watched it and a pickup truck was there in the first minute then at a 2:33 second mark a larger vehicle arrived and then at the 4:02 a still larger vehicle arrived. From that video it's hard to tell what the various vehicles were doing but it's also clear that the plane was on fire from...
I've seen many people saying that the 5 minutes response time was too long but the NTSB report that was linked in one of the posts says it was between 3-4 minutes. Just how far did the trucks have to roll on a 10,000 runway to get to the crash site?
I would suggest you host a dinner at your house for those in your community who don't have enough to eat. I'm sure that local churches or social service organisations can put you in touch with those who need to eat.
I know that high compression engines like the O-470U in my 182 can't get a mogas stc because mogas does not have the detonation rating needed for high compression engines but does anyone know if any work has been done on lowering the the service ceiling for a plane to allow it? It's my...
I guess I did not articulate my point well enough. You're reimbursing someone for traveling a certain distance to perform some work for your company. The cost and method of how they traveled that distance should not matter. It's the distance/reimbursement that matters.
Part of not saying anything and just putting in for car mileage is to give a company deniability. If the employee seeks reimbursement for travel at a rate less then they spent why is it a problem for the company? Do you vary your reimbursement based on the operating costs of your employee...
I'm not sure if you meant me or not but if you reread my post I never said lie, I said put in for reimbursement based on the car rate. That is not a lie.
Unless they already have a specific policy against it, I would not say anything and simply put in the mileage for a car. I work for a fortune 5 company that does have a policy against using a plane so I'm stuck.
