Sad for sure. Is the pilot instrument rated? Was he proficient? Was there a problem with the aircraft? Was this on an approach? 300' OVC and 3SM is not that bad depending on the approach available.. Just curious about things we may never know I guess. :(

I've been in there a couple times. I have also had the long taxi times there. You get to talk to like 5 different people on the ground from one side to the other. :) There is also a museum there I would like to visit sometime.

I love these ASA Overcasters. Used them on both checkrides and no issues from different DPE's. Very comfortable and easy to store. Plus pretty cheap around $16

Wow 206%! Is that in the Ladder Trades? You must have been on a good roll and putting down some bigger $$ per trade!! I also hope it is legit with the paying the withdraws. I was up 25% today then go hosed on my last 2 trades. Dang charts when crazy and spiked last 2 minutes. Ended up 2% though.

Absolutely. I feel so much more safe flying at night with my instrument rating. Even if guys don't want to get an instrument rating, they should learn how to fly approaches. It makes it so much safer at night. I agree. These people got very lucky. The parachute was not intended for that...

Then, give my method a try when the ladder trading opens back up. Keep a log and keep yourself from wanting the quick buck with the big % returns and let me know your results. I try to get a 5%+/- return if possible, but have done many below that. I honestly have been keeping track of them all...

Yeah, I don't think that will work.. I think the only way to have the odds in your favor is to stick to the ladder trading or know what the hell the stocks and commodity's are going to do. i lose my a$$ very fast doing anything else on that website. Its slow earnings and small winnings for sure...

I know a few guys with them. that is no problem, however.. When did the OP say he was landing on grass? His initial post says "there are 3 airports within 30 miles of our cabin, the closest being about 15 miles, all with paved runways of at least 3500'."

Thanks for the info. I dont feel I know enough about the stock market to do that type of trading. This stuff seems to give me a better chance by looking at the trends. I guess time will tell.. Ended up today +12.23% on my money. Had 1 bite me early on out of 32 trades(or whatever they are...
