Yup. In lieu of a meteorology degree, Scott's workshops are TAILORED for aviation. Very good investment.

Look at the index #s on the upper right... top two CAPE that high means you're unstable and generally prone to convection. Not sure which CAPE it is, if it's sfc CAPE or most unstable layer CAPE. Makes a difference. sfc CAPE would mean you're pretty much ready to have convection or already...

the leading edge of the '68 and '69 wing is less blunt than the '70 and later Cardinal wing. Even though the x-section of the rest of the wing (through the tanks) is the same.

Love it. If you don't need anything faster or with more capacity, it's great. Two big doors and a cabin wider than a 172. Its a very comfortable plane, and for a Cessna single, it's very nimble and fun to fly.

How long can you comfortably fly?

(until my arms get tired of flapping?) :goofy: 2 hours in turbulence or IMC. 3 to 4 in easy VFR.

    Lightspeed Zulu 2

I upgraded a barely working set of old 20Ks for a Zulu about three(?) years ago after borrowing both a Bose X and a Zulu. The Bose was nice, but the Zulu fit my head better. I just upgraded a non-working 15K for a Sierra and a passenger used that headset today for the first time. They're...

Who here has accidentally stalled a plane?

I kicked into a spin entry practicing power-on stalls in a painfully out-of-rig, beat up 172 trainer the evening before my checkride. Ugh. ailerons neutral, power idle, step on rudder opposite rotation, yoke forward, power in. Scared me witless initially, but honestly, no problem, but glad...

Still in shock -- lost a wonderful lady yesterday

I had to do a go-around on my second "solo" in the pattern because of a 6 knot crosswind. I laugh about it now, but when I was flaring and things were going wacky as a 10+ hour student, I was terrified. I'm thankful my CFI didn't solo me until we had done quite a few go-arounds. Full power...
