    What the hell? 70s music

Love 'em. Full stop. End of story. Also love their successors, The Clash. 'Cept for maybe Combat Rock..... (Before anyone quibbles, I don't mean ACTUAL successors, that would be PIL, I mean spiritual...)

    Support Aviation Businesses, Dammit!

I agree. But if you are going to open a restaurant catering to an ever-shrinking aviation population, you had better have a Plan B that includes catering to the general populace too. And they (as you well know from your line of work) are less willing to hold their noses just because there is an...

Sit in an Archer? You've sat in a Dakota! :wink2:

    182 vs Dakota

I trained in Archers. Owned a T182T for several years and loved it. Also flew one in the ID backcountry, to Alaska, and all over the West. Most of my time is in low-wings, but if I were making this choice it would be 182, hands down, for me. The Dakota and 182 are both durable...

Missing engine log book during PPI on Lance

Not my point. He may well have been perfectly comfortable. I'm talking about when it is OP's turn to sell. He will need to find someone else willing to handwave it away, or take the hit on resale. Why not make the current seller take the hit? Buy the plane with a damage history discount, then...

    Cessna T210N - 1979

I went to the CPA owners workshop on 182s when I owned one. The workshop was very worthwhile. I highly recommend attending one for the 210.

Missing engine log book during PPI on Lance

Just remember, once you pay for the airplane, you own the problem. I GUARANTEE you the current owner knows it is a documentation problem, and knows there should be a big hit to value for missing logs on a current engine. If you choose not to let him take that hit, well.....

Missing engine log book during PPI on Lance

You have absolutely no record of overhaul. You are not responsible for the previous owner's goof-up. It's all on him. Price it as if it has a run-out engine, which is just as likely as not. Who's to say a previous owner didn't ditch the logs and pick an arbitrary time to start the new...

    Playoff Hockey

Don't care about either team. I will back CHI because 1) Original Six, and 2) Kimmo Timonen (former Flyer.)

You can be Prosecuted for Clearing Your Browser History

I found that interesting. So, say you wipe your prints off a gun after you kill someone. Is that now considered obstruction? Crap like this is why I started voting Libertarian.

Prop Strike - deal breaker on purchase?

The key is your second point. There are more than a few examples out there with 'quality' repairs sufficient to get the plane sold. Again, I would consider how much time has elapsed. If the damage is recent (within, say, 50hrs) ask yourself this - do I think this dude said 'Just fix it enough...
