New Member - Possible Seneca II Acquisition Qs?

I have owned my Seneca II&1/2 (II with III engine conversion-220hp) for 15 years. And the number one reason I love my Seneca over all others in its class of twins is: turbo. As far as engine troubles go, I had two engine failures and one engine smoke in the past, all in-flight, and in twins...

    Transition to Piper Seneca

I can tell by the tone of your post, you will do just fine flying a Seneca or any other airplane. No other GA airplane has made me feel safer than my Seneca. Enjoy your twin training!

Double Gear Up within 10 years

After doing your homework, if you feel good about it, then that is all that matters.:) But, I am one of those (few?) who will not consider buying an airplane with damage history like that. And, I will recommend the same to my friends in the buying market. Good luck!

    My best friend died yesterday...

Samantha is in good place now. And, you will meet her again. I know I will meet my Juggy (Forever Our Super Cat) THE RAINBOW BRIDGE POEM “Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow...

Author doing research in need of pro advice

Years ago, my colleague used to show off a picture of his Piper Cherokee Six, calling her his “mistress”. He stayed married, and kept the house, though one may say: “there were three of us in this marriage, so it was bit crowded”.

Author doing research in need of pro advice

Over the decades, I have learned and met many pilots who “think” they know more and better, telling others how to do (every)thing the right way. The only thing I’ve learned from them is to just drop them all together.

    Bar Harbor info

Gary, A free shuttle runs from the airport to the downtown area and the other parts of the island. Ivy Manor Inn (B&B) is classy and has character. Cocktails at Bar Harbor Inn are relaxing. Blueberry pancakes at Jordan’s are a must. It is a beautiful island.

    Fly for Food

Why not? People are doing touch and goes (no landing fees in this case) at NYC airports (EWR, JFK, LGA). But, if you park and dine, landing and parking fee could turn $100 hamburger into $500 reuben, a greasy landing followed by a greasy sandwich.

Torn meniscus surgery - yea or nay

Runners and cyclists often do not get along on the road; I never liked them  (had numerous bad experiences on the road). But now, I cannot believe I am actually going to take a look into biking (not those fast moving road biking though, it does not seem that safe around here on NYC...

Torn meniscus surgery - yea or nay

Hi MacFly, Thank you very much for your reply. I just did a quick google search on running after the arthroscope...I must admit that I am feeling a bit down now. Only reason I decided to go through with the procedure was so that I could return to running (even happy with just "jogging" at...

    Fly for Food

Ok, our favorite smoked bluefish dip trip was cancelled today. I went fishing in the rocky sea in the foggy weather all day yesterday. After the successful black sea bass trip, drinks and cigars along with fishermen’s stories (lies) followed well into the night at the marina slip. When I...

Torn meniscus surgery - yea or nay

Hi FastEddieB, How are you recovering? I did mine a day after yours on June 3rd. I did not need any painkillers after the surgery. I was able to walk normally two days after the procedure, but my doctor told me not to run (slow, but I am a runner) for five weeks. My knee still feels a bit...
