    DEN Summer WX finally arrived

Thats too bad. Was there any hangars available? If there was one available and you cared about your plane, I would have had it stored in a hangar ;)

    Aluminum Overcast Hail Damage

I agree, its not the residents fault, its the fault of the person that was in charge of the plane and the FBO if they had hangar space available for it. They had the ability to prevent the damage. It was their negligence that caused the damage.

    Aluminum Overcast Hail Damage

Sounds like someone should have been looking at the weather forecast for that evening. Now a days severe storm area forecasting is getting pretty accurate.

Is GA flying for transportation dead?

Same here, I rarely fly the 172 for any trips anymore because of all the weather uncertainties and cost. For example I briefly thought about a short 2 hr x country tomorrow until I saw the weather forecast, so I will be driving again. I just put around with it in the evenings when the winds...

    Aluminum Overcast Hail Damage

If there was a hangar avaliable im wondering if the FBO is on the hook for the damages? Simuliar happened to a transiant 172 parked at a FBO that a friend of mine owned and his insurance co sued the FBO for the hail damage.

Failed Pre-Buy Demo Flight- Pilot Wants to be Paid

Thats right, after the inspection is complete the IA either signs it off as airworthy or UN-airworthty. If its UN-airworhty the IA provides the owner with a discrepancy list which any A&P can later address and then the annual becomes airworthy.

Is a Cessna Mandatory Service Bulletin on the Horizon

Thats scary. It dosnt say much about the renter pilots and instructors if they are flying a plane in that condition, or they are not doing a proper pre flight.

Is a Cessna Mandatory Service Bulletin on the Horizon

Thats true. The cheap owners that dont care about the condition of their plane are the ones that go to those drive thru quickie annual shops for a $100 sign off.

Is a Cessna Mandatory Service Bulletin on the Horizon

And the unfortunate thing is there are still a lot of IA's out there that continue to give these questionable planes quickie pencil whip annuals.

Anyone recommend avionic shop around okla?

If your looking to install a 430w I can do that for you. I just installed one in a C182 along with a 340 audio panel last winter with no issues. I am located just south of KC at KLRY.

Yep...I knew I'd do this eventually...

My fuel tank tube has a long stick attached to it to prevent it from slipping into the tank at that perfect angle.

KASE meets with FAA to learn what "grant assurances" mean

Some airports go to great lengths to stifle out any new small business coming on the field, especially if there is already a big FBO there. Ive heard many excuses and erroneous requirements from "no space available" to "you will have to build your own hangar with a minimum size of 15k square...

0-200A correct idle speed and best deal on new MA-3SPA carb...

Thats not the experience I had when I bought a rebuilt carb for my O320 E2D. Mine was running way too lean and I had to send it back to the factory twice before they got the mixture set rich enough.

    liabilities of the airport owner

Or you could just get the insurance and raise your hourly labor rates to cover the additnal cost.

    liabilities of the airport owner

Yes because the airport owner provided the space for the plane to be repaired. Thats my guess.
