    I have a weird question

Thank you so much for sharing this... if someone with your experience feels some anxiety, then I can give myself license to feel it too :)

    I have a weird question

Interesting, thank you. Yes, awareness of possible failure points has increased dramatically for me, and with it comes added anxiety. For example, one of my close calls involved having to use carb heat at FL165 in my 182 at subzero weather - that's pretty high up - to turn around what seemed...

    I have a weird question

Can I like this several times, please? as I read it, I realized some of it is related for sure. It's a delayed response in a way - I was reading them years ago and not relating, but some stuck with me because I recall them in difficult flying conditions.

    I have a weird question

Boy, I think you are on to something here. I read your note and something in my gut started untwisting. It's very true; when I think back to what I was doing even 150 hours ago I shudder. I really have no clue how I survived. Gives me chills. And I used to think those situations were exciting...

    I have a weird question

Right? thank goodness I'm not the only one. I used to not think about it much, but now it's like a bigger thing. Yeah. I spend a lot more time during flight these days constantly making sure I know exactly where I'm putting the plane down if something serious happens. I used to be far more...

    I have a weird question

Man, you described it perfectly. I used to glance at the struts, now I spend probably a minute on each one before taking off... because I do everything instinctively now without having to think about it ("wearing the plane"), I have more time to look outside, and seeing the wings practically...

    I have a weird question

Hey, everyone, been a while. Honestly, I debated myself quite a bit before deciding to come back and ask this, but I can't think of any other place where I could. I've now amassed more than 400 hours, done some more instrument training (and deserted it again - don't know why I can't quite get...

    For Sale iLevil-20-SW for sale

(otherwise known as the iLevil2 SW) I purchased this unit 2.5 years ago as part of the pioneer beta program for Glass Aero. I then used it exactly twice, and it has been sitting in my closet since then. I'm sure somebody would be happy to get far more use out of it! Asking $650 OBO.

    Does the 210 have a Jet-A conversion?

Outside of the Silver Eagle, is there a known conversion for the Centurion, like a modern diesel?

Requesting input - Extended SF Bay Tour

All, While I've been flying in the bay area for my entire flying career, there are a couple of things I have never actually done: (1) fly the bay tour; and (2) fly above the bay between SFO and OAK. I donated a flight to charity and will be taking a couple of folks up in the next few weeks...

Medical reform and type 1 diabetes

No kidding. I mean, I am grateful that I get to fly, but the amount fo validation I have to go through is almost like an ATP... at least let me get a class 2 if you're gonna make me do that :) Yeah, no kidding again. That is the one I have always considered the stupidest as well. It makes zero...

Medical reform and type 1 diabetes

Definitely hire dr Bruce while he's still willing to offer his services if you are embarking on this path. It's a different question for me though: clearly, I have successfully obtained a class 3 for a number of years in a row. I will continue to do so, but if the process can be made simpler...

Medical reform and type 1 diabetes

Yes, you can (obviously, I'm testament to that). It's a royal PITA though, so while I'm not complaining - I get to fly! - making it a bit simpler would be very welcome, especially considering my diabetes has been rock stable for decades.

Medical reform and type 1 diabetes

As someone who has been going through the intricate annual special issuance medical process for a number of years now, I am very interested in this topic. But I can't find an answer. Since insulin dependent diabetes is pretty much the number one "you don't fly" condition that requires special...

    How do YOU make money?

I run the services company I founded 13 years ago, which focuses on helping other companies with data security. It's not big, but it provides a decent living for a few folks. I still get personally involved in delivery for most customers.

    Airgress!

You obviously have no clue whatsoever with respect to the regulation, what it covers, how it is enforced, by whom, and in essence, anything about it. Go find somebody else to troll. I'm done with you.

Illegal? how? Waste of time and money? do I tell you how to burn your gas? Sheesh.

    Airgress!

LOL. That sounds awesome - the new game Niantic is promoting (called Endgame) will be more weapons focused, so this might fit well in that world :goofy: Anyway, it's more about doing something cool in GA plane while blowing holes in the sky than the "airstrike" itself.
