    Bonanza V-Tail or Mooney M20x or ??

Yep they have been made, more will be made, and Biggs has reskinned new ones recently. There are a few firms working on carbon fiber ones as well.. I asked Tom Turner of the ABS about how many ruddervators per year are trashed. He told me on average 12 a year need reskinning and out of those...

    RRRRRRRough River 2023! (2I3 4/21/2023 - 4/23/2023)

I'm waiting for the avionics shop to call and if they don't get me in this weekend I won't be making it. Even if they do get me in this weekend it still might be pushing it but will see. I was supposed to be in the weekend we came back from the Bahamas so......

    Piper 151 .. what do ya'all think?

A decent 180 now would be about 55 to 60k. A Cherokee is a good first plane and the 180D is great and basically of it fits through the door it will carry it..but see then you upped the ante and said cirrus which is in a totally different class....if a cirrus is what you want after you get your...

    Another truck towing question

I dont have that set up but the general rule is to stay within 80% of tow capacity. So in that regard you will be fine. The 5.0 has plenty of power so that's not an issue. 3.15 gears will give good gas mileage without towing but while towing you might have to lock out the high gear. I tow a 30ft...

    Accelerated instrument training

I did american flyers 10 day course. All that was required was the completion of the written. I knew nothing of instrument flying other than the time required in the private. It was long days, sim and class work till lunch, flying and debrief after lunch and a few hours studying and home work...

(NA) Not happy with house price?(NA

Buyers are finicky, I wouldn't listen to it and let it roll off. They likely really liked it but can't afford it so they make stupid comments. Even if you lowered the price the same people would still complain.

I have given up looking for a new, to me truck, for now

The last two vehicles I purchased were purchased out of state and got to the bottom line via email. Once agreed I placed a small deposit and went and got them. Local place couldn't touch the price so I felt good. Did I still get screwed...sure, but I was happy with the purchase. And yeah I...

    Another ‘Cherokee 180 vs. 235’ thread…

I had a cherokee 180D for a few hundred hours. I loved that plane, it climbed like a home sick angle, and if it fit through the door it would fly. Would do 120kt at 8.5gph and a fun plane to fly. I don't get why you would buy a faster plane but pull power back to 180 speeds. I fly to go as fast...

Tie Down Fees - What's Yours?

I pay $125/ month for a newer T hangar with electric bi folding doors and obviously electricity. Yeah it's so bad I just push a button and my hangar door open. Hangar rent is cheaper than a 10x10 storage unit
