I recently changed my engine and asked JPI if I could zero out the hobbs. Some of them, yes, older units, had to send back to JPI.
Mine was older, so I didn't do anything.
Every few years since the mid 1990's, my father and I get in the plane and go wherever. Usually just followed the good weather and it's always worked out great. The only place in the U.S. we haven't made it to is the northwest.

1500 Kelvin is very very warm (red/orange). 3000-3200K is a normal incandescent light bulb. 5400-5600K is normal daylight (more blue). (these are approximate). 4300K is called warm/white in the consumer world.
