Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

At the end of the day the parked CRJ crew probably won’t have to undergo extra training. I’d say, at most, there may be a company memo to remind crews to pull up as close as possible to the hold short line. The 350 crew will almost certainly have to make a trip down to ATL and do some extra training

Word to the wise - a warm body with a certificate days are over - for now.

All cyclical. For reference my airline is still planning on hiring 1000/yr for the foreseeable future which is still an insane amount. A good year for hiring used to be 300.

Splitting Multi Engine Time and Logging

Do you need 100 hours? IIRC, you only need 25 and the airlines will give you the rest in the sim towards your ATP.

    Pilot not qualified?

Typically for captains. If the airport is a special qual, there’s usually restrictions for FOs with less than 100 hours in type. Some airports are once in a career and others require you to get qualed every few years.

Voepass Flight 2283, a large passenger plane, crashes in Vinhedo, Brazil

Flown to Brazil (and South America) many times and never had any issues with ATC, especially with weather deviations. They will give you whatever you ask for, including vectoring you into a mountain.

    Pilot not qualified?

Also Juneau. My airline requires a day at the sim to get qualified. Not sure if you need an LCA on your first trip there as well.

    Working on CFI - Advice?

Do some ground school on non aviation friends. If you can teach the concepts to them, you know you’re on the right track. Flying from the right seat is easy. You’ll get the sight picture down in a few hours. Good luck man!

    Recommendations for flying into Atlanta

World of Coca Cola could be fun too for your kid. It’s right next to the aquarium. I believe they also have package prices where you can buy entrance to both attractions at a discounted price.

Is ATP CTP a cash grab?

I did it in 2016. Waste of time for me. Instructors were retired airline guys swapping “war stories” and I don’t remember anything relevant or important. I just used the time to study Sheppard air for the ATP written. Hopefully it’s a better learning experience now.

    The Cole slaw thing…..

I like Cole slaw but I’m picky. Can’t be too vinegar-y or or have too much mayo. Haven’t had bad slaw from any diner in NY. They all know how to make it just right.
