Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

Jet exhaust frying chickens in the barnyard. One of my favorite scenes.

Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

Reports are the Airbus taxied back to the terminal and the RJ passengers got off at the spot and were bused back. As for moving the rest of it. I would assume they probably severed whatever was left holding it on and forked it up off the runway.

Little Star V Thrust Tug - Dewalt drill powered

It's not rocket science. On the 987 I usually use setting 2, but you can set it wherever makes it move at the speed you want to go. Just be sure to set it for "drill" mode rather than hammer or screwdriving.

Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

Again, what justification is there for complaining about the RJ guys being back from the line. There's no guidance that says you need to put the nose on the line, and as others observed, we're only having this discussion because it was an RJ. Anything larger (even an CRJ-1000 is 40 feet...

    Why switched grounds?

I'm still not following. It's exactly the opposite. If the switch is not near either the load or the + source, then switching to "ground" minimizes wire. This is why it is done. It's not even limited to aircraft. Cars do this all the time as well. Run a single wire the bus to the...

    How so?

    Thread about actual beer

Reinheitsghebot dates from an era of ignorance. You'll find it doesn't include yeast which is the PIVOTAL ingredient in any fermentation.

    Why switched grounds?

"Grounds" are everywhere. Hots are usually run individually. It's often more convenient to short the load to ground as a switch than it is to put a switch on the hot side.

Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

I think they collided back around F2 and E somewhere. The RJ continued around on H before the tail fell off and the Airbus just pulled forward after Ground told him he couldn't go back to F3.

They had to have collided before then. Both planes continued to taxi a bit before they sorted it out.

Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

Listened to LIVEATC. Not much audible. You hear both planes call for taxi and then you hear 295 saying they need to stop and "check something out." No comment heard from the Endeavor 5526 saying anything. Shortly there after they start juggling all the departures over to the other runway.

    EAA getting sued

This isn't the first time EAA has been sued. Laird Doctor sued the EAA and Howard Pardue (I think Doctor got $500,000 out of the EAA and nothing out of Pardue). They got sued when an occupied cub got blown into an adjacent tent. They got sued a few times over the Arlington Fly-In as well...

Little Star V Thrust Tug - Dewalt drill powered

The problem is it looks like you killed all that made the VThrusts valuable to me. I got these because my wife can't handle the weight of the larger tugs. Yeah, I get like two flights on the 18XRP batteries (which are archaic). However, you can get the lion 20V to XRP adapter and I just...

    Class I and hearing loss

Again, you're allowed to use hearing aids to pass the test, you just get the rather innocuous "MUST USE AMPLIFICATION" restriction.

    EAA getting sued

You can't sue the FAA or the police easily. You can sue the EAA. The giro guys are probably judgement proof themselves (who are the real culprits).
