So hand propping a plane with a dead battery is flying a non airworthy aircraft now. Sorry, but if you are concerned that people are flying planes even though the primer isn’t working you need a life.

He got his passenger in, got in, screwed around for 10 minutes, started the engine, shut down the engine, screwed around more, started the engine, shut down the engine, continued screwing around…. I had gotten my crew in my plane and briefed ready...

When there’s a line of three or four waiting for fuel, if everyone takes 10 minutes to do a checklist you’ll be waiting more than an hour to fuel up. I have a problem with that. There’s no reason to do that other than being a self absorbed arse with no situational awareness.

Was the airplane worth $600k with overhauled engines and airframe issues resolved? If so, then it wasn't worth that amount with run out engines and airframe.

they both have their advantages/disadvantages. There a lot of ADs on the fuel injection systems, but if they are all already resolved that might not matter much. Carb is simpler. You get more HP out of the FI. No chance of carb ice in FI. But I wouldn’t avoid the carb either.

Yeah, slsa always seemed like a trap to me. Certified on steroids due to the need for manufacturer approval of any changes.

I'm just yanking your chain. I'm lucky if I get the cardinal direction right without worrying about the wind or variation. But I do always chuckle when someone is 4.3 miles out and yes, I've laughed at myself over it too.
