    Facebook Censorship Strikes Again

thought it was quiet lately, will miss it. the loss is irksome. if anyone comes across a replacement, lmk. And it wasn't the commenting: Comments were turned off from the beginning. It was simple and plain fact. I don't get it.

I’ve read some mfg’s inspection criteria. It can get very expensive, hopefully your insurance would be there.

Unfair ridicule of Chem pilot work

I happened upon these silly chemtrail switch facades, and decals. Do you not agree these belittle the efforts of CT pilots nationwide? I think they should take us a little more seriously and give us due respect. These playthings seem to make light of our profession, and perhaps even cast doubt...

    shade tree engine mount repair

Where are safety cables attached? I realize it must depend on the aircraft model but; some examples? I'd think to structure ie tubular steel behind the firewall. Would this be 1/4" steel cable? Possibly two cables, two attach points?

    shade tree engine mount repair

We have the legality, we have the engineering….. what really interests me is the mindset; the thoughts of the person who designed and performed that repair (attempt). Only that will help us address & possibly prevent future such findings. Was it money? Did the person come from another type of...

    The MyFlightBook thread

DCR, I have used three methods of recording endorsements, BFRs etc on MFBP. 1. Uploading an image (jpg) of any sticker, piece of paper etc etc onto my elogbook. 2. Same, with a pdf (which my iphone can apparently generate) from something an instructor emails you 3. You can also send, through the...

    USPS strikes again!

Our local PO is so short staffed (USPS-provided issue) that instead of an envelope being carried by hand (from the "Local Mail Only" drop box where I deposit it on Friday) - 12' along the wall to the recipient's mailbox on the same Friday - it is all dumped in a cart with mail that is going to...

Pilot threatened with arrest for helping NC victims of Hurricane Helene...excuse me?

Whether we have the "whole picture" or not, this interview with the pilot is pretty damning of those turning the pilot away. There must occur in any Incident Commander's mind, the conflict of having absolute control of the scene vs rejecting valuable offers of help. I would not want to be in...

    shade tree engine mount repair

I daresay there are some airplanes one would not survive in an out-of-cg condition (aft), and no available thrust.

    shade tree engine mount repair

I have occasionally pondered: could the prop, as it winds down, carve the front seaters out - should one side of the engine mount suddenly let go and the engine/prop rotates to the side with the residual thrust. Never heard of it, so I’ll leave that one to the category of ‘sudden awakedness...

[NA] Determining an appropriate deposit amount

I wonder if this law states 'above a certain dollar value'? Ie, large jobs and not just adding a shed, or putting in new floors. So a handyman job would not need to use escrow. You are in Colorado?
