You will need a com radio and Mode C transponder, and should have ADS-B Out in many places. I thought that should go without saying. Any plane you will fly IFR should have those already, except maybe the ADS-B.

I agree that would be nice, but there is a warm fuzzy feeling I get knowing things are hardwired together. Much less chance of interference or broken connections. I would never trust critical items to a wireless connection, personally.

I have a TowMotion. It’s expensive, but AWESOME.

I have never heard of it doing this, but that is the easy thing to check to verify that it somehow didn't lose calibration.

You may need to do a recalibration of the deviation, which is done in the 530 configuration pages. You will set the needle at 150 degrees and then push a button on the 530 and it will recalibrate. See if that makes a difference.

You can’t go wrong with the Dynon system. The G5’s and GI275’s don’t provide much, if any, integration with the GTN that you wouldn’t get from the Dynon. The G3X Touch will give you a slightly better integration with the GTN compared to the Dynon, but that would be substantially more expensive yet.

Have you tried updating the software? What software version is currently installed?

It sounds like a configuration issue. Can you post pics of your Dynon and GTN ARINC settings? What happens if you change the CDI to VLOC on the GTN?
