Question regarding the purchase of a plane

First and foremost: eBay does absolutely NO services off site. They do not do buyer protection for off site purchases, nor do they offer escrow services for off site purchases. If it's not on eBay, it's not eBay. The 'invoice' is complete crap. You'll get some vaguely 'real' sounding email...

Question regarding the purchase of a plane

THIS IS A SCAM Hopefully that got your attention. Do not proceed. Do not even consider it. You will be without money and without plane. I'll break things down in another post.

    Weird police telemarketing... (N/A)

So I got a call from the SC Fraternal Order of Police foundation today, seeking donations. I politely declined, but I have to wonder where they got my cell phone number from. The only thing I can guess is incident reports from either the vandalism to my car or the DUI I witnessed. My big...

    Paranoia..

Somewhat tangential... http://www.krages.com/ThePhotographersRight.pdf Of course, I am not a lawyer and this isn't legal advice by any stretch of the imagination... but if it was a consensual encounter, you had no reason to give up your ID (the officer admitted that it wasn't illegal to take...

The sins of the son... (N/A)

The guy hasn't been convicted yet. Only arrested. I should reiterate that. I agree that there should be other corroborating evidence. In my eyes the DNA should only be used to narrow the field of potential suspects, not to convict for a crime.

First flight of the A-12 (Predecessor to the SR-71)

A video along with a little bit of history about the A-12 http://gizmodo.com/5581881/the-first-flight-of-the-cias-own-secret-blackbird And I'm sure it's been posted before, but here's one man's account of flying the world's fastest jet...

The sins of the son... (N/A)

That is indeed a fine point, and I don't think a case should be completely hinged on a single point such as DNA, but at the same time, I don't see the harm in using a familial search to narrow down a field of potential suspects; especially in a case such as a list of unsolved murders.

The sins of the son... (N/A)

DNA from a prisoner linked someone in his family to a string of unsolved murders in California. The LAPD then mapped out his family tree and focused on his father. They investigated and eventually obtained a discarded slice of pizza which they tested and confirmed the match to the DNA on file...

Terrafugia Flying Car Gets FAA Approval

For the price, I'd rather buy a used plane and a new car and still get better performance on land and in the air as well as have money left over. I also can't imagine what insurance rates would be... Or how bad it would be if you got in a fender bender while driving it.

    Google Voice Transcripts

Google voice is this awesome set of free services that tie into a phone number of your own or one you choose from their list. One of these services is voicemail transcription. Depending on how clear the call is, it can be really good, or it can be really hilarious. One sitting in my inbox is...

Just FYI, Skipp and I have talked back and forth in PM and everything is good. Some misunderstanding, some difference of opinion, but in the end, let's move on. The last laid to rest.

Another story I'd read was one of his children talking about how he told them to ask the gov't if they needed his services after 9/11. Man was certainly dedicated to his country. Thank you for your service sir.
