The Google call screening has solved my need to block a lot of numbers. With one click, I can find out if they're legitimate, as most telemarketers hang up when the screener robo voice starts talking. I like to think of it as robo-ing the robo.

Bingo. The acoustic tubes are far cheaper and easier to replace than speakers.

How is it applied?

That tail number is on another plane now. You could still pay the $5 or whatever and get the associated records, though, for that old tail number. You'll have to get a new registration and a new tail number to get this airplane in the air again, though.

Other than the copy you send to the FAA, it shouldn't ever be required unless you just want it for your records. You could always get a copy of it via the tail number CD anyways, since it'll be part of the records the FAA keep.

I've been going to OSH for several years now, but haven't made it out to SnF yet. OSH is just a load of fun and something I look forward to every year. Even the years where the wx isn't cooperative, I drive up.

I have a buddy who is a trucker and gets his medical just fine with a CPAP. That doc must not do many DOT physicals.

In-ear isn't for everybody. I used to have trouble with the cord moving the headset, but somehow I got used to it (or maybe finally got the band shaped correctly) and it doesn't do it anymore. I don't think there's any difference in sidetone between that and any of my other headsets, either...
