Well, very interesting. Just tried to make a reservation. All the lodge rooms are booked. Guess there must be a large group coming in that weekend for some reason. I know… I’ll try back later once all those pesky pilot dudes/dudettes start cancelling out due to all sorts of ridiculous reasons like broken airplanes!

Bring camping gear and maybe there will be some spare rooms or couches available by the time you get here!

There's pretty much always a couch or spare bed. I had planned to camp in the plane a couple years ago, then someone talked me into sleeping on their couch, then someone gave me an extra bed in their cabin.

And as you said, someone will cancel. Planes break and you know...it gets windy & stuff.

I’m curious what you charge for rides…..do passengers wash the plane? Clean the hangar? Do your laundry? Change the oil? If not, these are just suggestions

I think passengers have to hold their fingers over the pressurization leaks. At least that’s my understanding of how the bigger Twin Cessnas work. Nobody has offered me a ride in one yet. (It’s anyone’s guess as to why.)

I was thinking about borrowing the Bonanza, but then I keeping thinking what a waste for two airplanes to be coming from the same area and we truly do enjoy sharing the trip with you and Sue, so we gratuitously accept your offer.

A friend of mine in his 40s just got an AARP card in the mail and was complaining that he's not that old yet.

I told him that they have to get you in before you keep forgetting that you need to join.

Because I'm a professional procrastinator I just called up this morning to make reservations. I told them I was with POA and I had no trouble getting a lodge room. I wonder if they reserved some rooms for us, or maybe when she realized she was talking to a pilot she booted someone for a VIP.

Either way plans are set now and I'm sure there will be absolutely no last minute changes whatsoever.
