Interesting ADS-B track. Wonder what happened. Kind of looks like he initially tried to make Lee but I have no idea.

Close to home, glad he's OK.

Seemed to have turned the wrong way if he was headed to Lee. But he may have been confused about where it was (or he was).

Not to arm chair Dan Gryder this accident, but looking at the timestamps on FlightAware, not a lot of time to refuel prior to the original departure if this flight at 12:16. So if the plane flew 2 hours prior to departure, and then departed on a lap in the pattern ant FME and then a XC to SBY and 33N, flying back to LEE would have been right at the range limits if he didn’t refuel at 33N (clearly didn’t at SBY).

Lucky he didn’t end up in the bay.

Given the N number, I think it was a Tipton-based plane. He went right over Bay Bridge which if I was low on fuel would be my choice to stop before crossing the water.

I don't know, 28 minutes might be enough time to refuel

From ads-b stop registering activity to being airborne again, factoring in ground time, run up, etc. That's like 5-10 minutes. Possible, but unlikely. Regardless, I'm spitballing without any actual information.

Sad could be improper fuel management ,wait for report. Hope the pilot recovers quickly.

I guess I've never actually looked or cared for that matter how long it takes when I fuel up

FWIW, as a calibration point, my last 2 enroute stops for fuel were :36 and :28 minutes, according to ads-b times. This was at the same non-tower, unattended, self-serve airfield, first (and only aircraft) to the pumps, 100LL in a Duke, over 100 gallons each time. 2 passengers used the restroom, as did I once fueling was finished.
