Do you have enough posts to fence the border with Canada?

Almost, if I only did one state. 20,786 x 8' /5280 = 35.5 miles. The length of the US/Canada border along Pennsylvania is 42 miles.

If you did a nice split rail fence, those are usually 11' spacing. 43.3 miles.

I can handle Connecticut and will even throw in Mexico for free.

Are we looking to be the lowest bidder on a government contract?

Don't forget the border between Canada and Alaska. 1538 miles.

TN visa is an agreement under NAFTA/USMCA where certain categories of work is considered professionals and allowed to get a visa at the border with your letter of employment.

Fun fact a large fraction of Canadian tech workers at the big tech would be under TN visa, but programming is considered a trade so if you say your job is programming you’d be rejected.

This arrangement makes it easy for skilled workers from Canada to get jobs in the states.

Under the current conditions you gota wonder if the TN visa arrangement will be the way of the dodo soon.

Another fun fact: it is estimated there are 300k Canadian tech workers in the states. Size of IBM internationally? About 300k employees.

Um... If you want to put up a fence on the Canada/Pennsylvania border, I hope your fence posts are REALLY long. And waterproof.

@denverpilot probably has enough....and they're plenty long enough  Not sure about waterproof

Good thing you aren't in Oklahoma, you'd have to do both banks. (Or both sides of the watershed).
Yeah, gonna be confusing here. We have the Canadian River, Canadian County, town of Canadian, OK (oddly in Pittsburgh County), and the town of Kansas, OK. I don't even know where to set the corner posts for this fence!

Yeah, it is confusing. Looking at a map, both Canadian and Pittsburgh (OK) are further south than Cuba and Mexico (MO).

This is what the much of the US-Canadian border in western WA looks like. This is 40 nm from downtown Vancouver, BC. I've included the Lat-long in case you want to check my work.
