No such possibility in this environment. The ground is solid volcanic rock, cloaked with irregular boulders. The machines required for this task would potentially run into the tens of thousands of $.I think I'd rent a trencher for a day and run some Cat 5/6 in conduit along the road. Probably only take a couple of hours since you'd only need to go 24" or less to get there. Largest cost would the conduit itself, and that's probably cheaper than any wireless setup capable of being reliable.
I'd be reluctant to leave something sticking up in the air, because of the potential for tropical weather-related damage. I mentioned above that there may be a spot high enough on a wall beneath an overhang to get a visual. I'll investigate that and revisit the issue.The distance will not be an issue for long range wifi....but a pinch out of line of site will be.
If you used something like a unifi Device Bridge Pro and mounted it to a pipe, could you get high enough up to be line of site?

There is power, but that slope is deceptively steep, limiting intermediate line of sight possibilities.Does the outbuilding have it's own power?
I'd probably see if I could get a powered device at the apex of the driveay- if I had line of sight from that intermediate point to both the house and the outbuilding, and build out the mesh using that intermediate point.
For practical purposes, I own the road, but I really don't see a anything but the most robust of conduits/cables surviving the conditions (during days of rain, for example, the water can roll down that hill like a whitewater rafting course).What about surface mounted conduit with fiber cable in it between buildings?

High bandwidth not really required, certainly nothing like 4k streaming on multiple devices. Do you have a suggestion on the directional antenna and router?2.4 GHz should work, even with some obstacles. What might help you is having a router in bridge mode at the outbuilding, with a directional antenna pointing to the house.
Also, do you need some bandwidth, or 4k streaming on three devices kind of bandwidth?
