NA - Permanent Christmas Lights

Got everything installed. My takeaway is it does a LOT of things. Crazy patterns, anything you can imagine but I am actually just liking them as accent light on the house.
The picture makes them look bright as **** but camera phones... It is not quite as obnoxious and pink as the photo makes it out to be.
I will be sure to update the thread on St. Patrick's Day when I am 4 beers in and making it do wild stuff that gets me fined by the HOA.

Christmas lights are done and I got my final Christmas decoration installed this evening

This is prototype number 2. I need to make one more adjustment so we can span the entire garage opening but if I don't at least get honorable mention in the homeowners association Christmas decoration awards I'll be a little disappointed

What kind of control do you get? Does Xlights work?

I'm using an app that came from the company called govee home.
You can do about 50 billion different things with it it's almost too much.

Best feature is there's this little social tab where people upload videos of what they've created so you just search Christmas or Mardi gras or whatever you want and all the videos pop up and you find when you like and hit apply that way you don't have to do any other work.

I searched candy cane and found one I like and so now my house makes me hungry

When I grew up, we called those that kept christmas lights up year round, whitetrash... boy have times changed.

When I am having dinner with my family in the front yard, I want to make sure the lights look professional.
Now that you have the lights, you can signal your committment to responsible environmental stewardship by putting the dining table on eco-friendly reclaimed cement blocks.

I just hope nobody mistakes your house for a drone.

That's the whole point of these permanent lights. They don't look like Christmas lights until you run a Christmas program on them. Most of the year they can look like very nice landscape lighting.

Used with restraint, they look very nice. Hopefully, the wide animations are confined to the festive holiday periods.

Those who don't use restraint will look a lot like those who left traditional Christmas lights out all year long.

Yeah, I did what middle aged guys do on ladders yesterday.
I am terrible pain but I am also a man so after I quit hurting, I put my flip flops back on, and climbed back up the wet ladder with my drill and finished the job.

The lights do lots of holiday programs, sports team colors and and other fun stuff but set them to warm white and 25% and they make a really nice accent light.

The primary point for me is I am not getting on ladders or roofs again.
