Hi all,
Just got my net to me Cessna 150 and just started my search of a 300XL. Anyone have or know of one? In Palmdale, Ca. TIA

Do you have one already installed and non-operational? That's the only way it would make sense, otherwise the installation costs are not worth it for such an old unit.
Look in the forum, someone had a 300XL for sale recently. Since you're new, it might be difficult to prove to him you're a legit buyer, so don't get upset if the sale doesn't go through.
Otherwise, I'd strongly recommend considering a new (or used, if you can find it) GNC355. Same form factor. It might be worth adapting your 300XL installation for the 355, it doesn't take much to do it.

I have a 300XL with SD card and usb stick. I’m about to undergo a panel upgrade and will have it ready for sale in the near future.

I'm planning to do work myself, just want to add some functionality on my 67' 150 w/o paying the new Garmin prices. I was considering just a standard used 760 channel comm but am entertaining the IFR cer't 300xl.

It's your time and effort.
Consider finding a used 430(W) instead. Better screen and functionality, and when it dies, you can just drop an Avidyne unit in that tray.
You won't have that option with the 300XL, Avidyne has already stated they don't have plans to make a drop-in replacement for it.

Here's a 300XL for sale, reach out to the owner and see if he's willing to make some arrangements with you. Maybe find a cheap plane ticket to Texas?

When about are you going with the upgrade? I want to get rid of that kx-170 and add something more functional w/o going new Garmin route on this 1967 150.
In the coming weeks post Thanksgiving.
