I sent my nephew a text asking if he was going to bid on some of those new openings into Port-au-Prince.

I flew to Haiti a few times a couple of months after the earthquake. It was quite the experience and I’m glad to have it, but there’s no way I would go back under the current conditions. I did have a painting that I bought from a local artist framed that I treasure from the experience.

Nephew texted me a copy of company email...Spirit operations into PAP and CAP suspended until further notice.

Maybe paint them camouflage color. Bright yellow is just asking for target practice.

Probably need a separate thread for Spirit what with the bankruptcy and all

“Spirit does not hit back” (Bruce lee voice..) but…an incoming small arms fire, go around and dump fuel over the area it’s coming from SOP might discourage future recurrences…?

Do Airbuses even have a dump valve? And how would it be reasonable to fly low right over the guys who just shot you?

It was intended as jest/ humor. In hindsight probably wrong to joke about a serious issue this day and age. I grew up with “dark humor” jokes being a normal thing from people who have been through very stressful situations/experiences. I understand that times have changed and it’s no longer socially acceptable to make a joke that can in any way possible be taken as serious or in any way taken offensively by somebody so it’s best to just not speak. I apologize for my antiquated attempt at humor.

And I apologize for being dense. Won’t be the last time, for sure!
