As far as I know - no. I believe some things still need to be done in the physical plane - especially multi engine. But I think you need an actual landing and circling approach for acs for an iPc. Also this is for a red bird aatd though I don’t think a batd is any different. You will need an instructor preset for the things you do during to count toward the iPc. You don’t for the 6 approaches just for currency but for an iPc - the things are a bit stricter
No, see Page 29. The circling to land cannot be accomplished in a Redbird. You can do all the other tasks in a Redbird and then jump in the plane for a circle to land.
Okay, wow good to know. So I can do ils, rnav, loc approaches and jump into an aircraft to do a circle to land approach with an instructor . Thanks for the insight.
I did an IPC to return to flying a couple of years ago. Did most of the work in an AATD. 1.3 in an airplane to do landing and circle to land (and a couple of extra for night currency )
