Good morning,
I wanted to ask and see if an IPC can be completed in a redbird?

Thank you!!

As far as I know - no. I believe some things still need to be done in the physical plane - especially multi engine. But I think you need an actual landing and circling approach for acs for an iPc. Also this is for a red bird aatd though I don’t think a batd is any different. You will need an instructor preset for the things you do during to count toward the iPc. You don’t for the 6 approaches just for currency but for an iPc - the things are a bit stricter

AATD or BATD?

AATD, everything except the circling approach and landing from approach tasks.
BATD, nothing.

Both are clearly indicated in the LOAs which are available on the Redbird site.

Okay, wow good to know. So I can do ils, rnav, loc approaches and jump into an aircraft to do a circle to land approach with an instructor . Thanks for the insight.

I did an IPC to return to flying a couple of years ago. Did most of the work in an AATD. 1.3 in an airplane to do landing and circle to land (and a couple of extra for night currency :D )
