I just registered on this site. I have a few things to sell and thought this might be a good place to post them. However the classifieds section says I don't have posting privileges there. Is there a minimum number of posts or some other requirement in order to post in the classifieds section?

Per the rules of conduct you had to agree to to gain access, "Users must have a minimum of 50 total posts to create or to respond to a thread in The Classifieds."

ETA: Nice Rocket, by the way.

In my rush to reply I neglected to extend a welcome. We encourage active participation, stick around for a while and see if you like the place.

Will do, I just posted an ADS-B question in the Avionics section.....

we want to hear all about your F1
After a 7 year build the F1 took to the air in May 2014. Engine is an IO-540 with an SDS electronic ignition on the left and a mag on the right. Engine also has an SD-8 backup alternator on the vacuum pad, and has a half Raven for oil recovery. Panel consists of a Garmin G3X Touch main EFIS with a GRT Mini backup. Nav/coms are a GNS430W and an SL30. Transponder is a GTX 330D with ES. Has the Garmin 2 axis autopilot. Also has the Vertical Power VP-200, an amazing piece of technology that has not been made for a number of years - I have a spare on the shelf.

Here is the panel:

I built the plane for IFR cross country trips, but my wife doesn't like it so I fly mostly around the local valleys. I usually run ~3000' ASL, 23 squared, 10.4 gph and 170 - 175 knots true airspeed. If I want to go somewhere I will go to 8000', 2300 rpm, and do 200 knots burning ~12 gph. I could crank it up and go faster but the fuel burn is not worth it. I really like it, but it has way more capability than I use. Wouldn't mind my Decathlon back again instead. I do some light aerobatics - loops and rolls - staying positive.

Welcome to POA, nice airplane, anymore photos of her?

What’s her top speed?

Welcome to the forum.enjoy

Here are a couple more shots:

Regarding top speed, been quite a while since I have tested that but my recollection is around 215 knots. Others with this wing have reached quite a bit higher speeds when flying at 14 - 16,000'. Do not exceed speed is 243 knots, not hard to reach when descending.

Nice aircraft. Looks fast just sitting on the ramp.
