Good Morning,
anyone on the forum know the upside of having an AGI(gold seal I know)?

Just curious to see if it’s worth it to take the agi exam.

Name some opportunities it may present Or don’t waste my money? Thank you

I have mine, While waiting for the chance to start cfi, ($$$)
I am able to teach ground, get more experience and be more confident with learning styles. Keeps you from getting stagnant.
I am working on the IGI currently.
If you are working on cfi now and expect to have it soon, I just may not bother with it
The AGI exam is very much like the CFI written, it might help you get a better score for the exam that really counts

I took the AGI because I had no idea when I would finish the CFI and figured I could start giving ground lessons. I didn't teach before I got the CFI because I am too busy, but I know a couple of people who did. Those that did benefit greatly by having a relationship established that got them their first CFI gigs.

AGI is simple if you do the CFI written at the same time. Same with IGI and Instrument or II written.

You could also do your FOI and AGI around the time you do you Commercial rating.

AGI is a good way to keep your FOI from "expiring."
