for real world speeds I suggest looking at flightaware....and watching the traffic.

Different for different generations
And different for altitudes. 170 knots is slower than I ever saw. Here is 192 at 17,000 feet. 75% power. The turbo Cirrus is a beast. The NA… meh, just another vanilla high performance plane. ;-)

My TN reliably did 200 KTAS at 17,500 burning ~17 GPH
Ts tend to be ~5-10 knots slower.
Try to find a good tailwind and they can really cover ground.
