Seattle Avionics

I think it's simple. SA first floated the most insulting, offensive tactic possible, the "FU" option, and thought we would be thankful when they backed off a little and their actions were just insulting and offensive.

On that note, since they are giving us the FU option, this is for anyone reading, don’t forget to go give a 1 star review of the app on the App Store!

FlyQ Legacy is going to break at some point and they have said they won’t fix. We paid a premium for ‘new development’ via future releases and lifetime users got screwed on this.

The private equity firm that acquired SA is going to learn an expensive lesson. Dumping the app, writing a 1-star review, not recommending, quit sending in bug reports and enhancement suggestions, and will never do business with them again. Good luck Steve P as you return to leading this product going forward. We won’t be there to help you any longer.

"As a lifetime customer of Seattle Avionics and FlyQ, we wanted to extend our sincere thanks for your business. Your continued support has enabled us to make huge strides forward taking FlyQ to the next level -- FlyQ+. In appreciation for your support, we are extending a special offer to lifetime customers only.

While you can continue to use FlyQ via forthcoming FlyQ Legacy 6.9.2 and receive monthly ChartData updates, we're confident that you'll find the latest updates to FlyQ+ to be worth buying the upgrade. Remember, FlyQ+ EFB 7.0 added six major new features including an all-new graphical route briefing, distinct TAC layers, and a vastly improved nav log. Furthermore, we are thrilled to share upcoming releases that will include glide rings, weight and balance, single tap to add approach procedures to the flight plan, and much more."

Well that email I received today I guess puts the end of any hope we had that they'd get their senses at Seattle Avionics. I sure as heck won't be using that 25% offer. Down with Seattle Avionics!

Also I love how they're still promising to make weight and balance a feature. I was told I think 2 and a half years ago it was coming in the next update... yet another example of the lies and false promises from this company

The 6.x version worked ok for me but I don’t believe the new version will survive past the next apple update. But hey, they did finally approve the 2x old apple os for use.

I’ve started to recommend another product to folks who ask. They bought the other product.

I got their latest email yesterday and just chuckled. They keep trying to claim that FlyQ+ is an entirely different and new app. What's strange about that claim is that I never downloaded FlyQ+. My Ipad automatically updated their old semi-stable app and now that same old app has a new name. Until I got their "Screw You" email last month, I never even noticed a difference. Quite honestly, I still don't see anything different that would make me think this is something new. It will be a cold day in hell before that company ever sees another dollar from me. If I'm going to have to pay again for a product I already purchased, it will be with one of their competitors.

Don't tell us; tell them!

This is not going to end well for them. I predict they will lose more customers, their best customers I will say, and gain a bunch of negative reviews/recommendations.

It's almost like they took their inspiration for public relations from Bud Light, Tractor Supply and Harley Davidson.

This reminds me about the time I went to the all you can eat buffet.

After my third plate the manager came over and told me, "Sir, that's all you can eat."
