N689VP, C550 Citation II out of Odessa Schlemeyer (ODO), bound for Houston Ellington (EFD). Crashed off the departure end of runway 16 (5000’ long). Conditions were warm (DA of about 4800’) but not otherwise remarkable.

No idea of the cause, but the above for situational awareness.
 
It's fortunate no one on the ground was killed.

Appears to be a single pilot op. 48-year-old male pilot typed in Citation. 49-year-old female passenger no pilot certificates listed.
