What do they have in the 180-250 hp range?
Hopes and dreams?

Having a lighter engine means the cg moves aft making spin recovery more difficult. Adding a chute most likely makes that aft cg worse. Unless you plan on packing the rocket in the cowl. With the weight you're saving put a parachute on it, worked for Cirrus.
So you move it forward. Or use a heavier prop.Having a lighter engine means the cg moves aft making spin recovery more difficult. Adding a chute most likely makes that aft cg worse. Unless you plan on packing the rocket in the cowl.
The 914 is 30 pounds lighter than the o200.

I'd love to install a pair of the Rotax 916iS on my turbo twin comanche, it currently has the IO-320 160hp engines with the RaJay turbos and I can only imagine the difference I would get out of a pair of the 916iS engines, would definitely be alot smoother, probably faster at half the fuel burn and burning mogas at that.Rotax seems to be loved by a lot of people, even preferred over the Lycoming/Continental in many situations.
Why don't they produce engines up to 300 hp to compete with Lyc/Con? Is there something fundamentally limiting in their design?
It seems like there would be a huge market if they can make engines for Cessnas 172/177/180/182/185/210s, Bonanzas, etc.
