Bud Anderson

What an amazing career. Sad loss

I hope that he rests in peace.

I consider it a blessing that I had the chance to hear him and Yeager speak at Airventure, and watched the two of them fly P-51's painted in the likeness of their WW2 planes. I think it was in 2002. As I recall they flew a couple of times that week....they'd do a few laps around the pattern then depart out over the lake for a while. In the Q&A after their talk, someone asked them both, "who waxed who in their flight?" .... they just chuckled

Heard him speak a few years ago at Oshkosh, then was able to shake his hand last year. Truly an honor.

R.I.P. fine sir.

RIP another legend gone.
