I did a general search and found nothing, which was probably an answer, but...

Has there ever been successful litigation of a YouTube poster because a viewer attempted to replicate the video and was "damaged" as a result. I see some of the aviation videos showing difficult but legal maneuvers and wonder if there is any chance of someone being hurt in an attempt to copy the action suing. Doesn't seem reasonable, but our litigation system is pretty screwed up.

Hence the disclaimer "Don't try this at home boys and girls.."

Are you referring to this?

That would be an example, although it seems to be mostly a warning. Just generally, demonstrations, flying odd aircraft, instruction, etc. Curious about litigation based on YouTube posts.

Curious the “why” behind the question. Youtube has a harmful and dangerous content policy, so assuming you’re in compliance with their policy AND you disclaim the content appropriately, I find it hard to believe there’s a case for liability.
