5. You think vests come in two styles: bullet-proof and suicide.

6. You can't think of anyone you haven't declared Jihad against.

7. You consider television dangerous, but routinely carry explosives in your clothing.

8. You were amazed to discover that cell phones have uses other than setting off roadside bombs.

9. You have nothing against women and think every man should own at least one.

10. You've always had a crush on your neighbor's goat.

Why??

The MC has said that is what they want us to us the BP button for. They have stated many times that the chances of them stumbling upon a post is slim and that if something needs their attention to hit the button, cite the rule that is being broken and them take care of it.
Sometimes even hitting the BP button does not get their attention e.g. the pirates post where Ron stated the MC had not recevied any complaints, yet I KNOW I hit the BP on that and I am pretty sure one or two others did as well.


Stuff like this is already political, even if it is a joke, and will provoke more political discussion. Given that there is a place for that discussion it is only appropriate and respectful that the thread be placed in that location.

There has been a trend the past couple of months that people are dropping political posts outside of the SZ in order to avoid what would be the appropriate response to their posts. I am not saying this is one of those, it was put up for humorous purposes and I doubt it was to be malicous, but the vieled 'political' posting are somewhat toxic to our back porch.

Everything is political -- since politics is about power, and its use and abuse by people, and how individuals and societies relate (for good or for ill).

The humorous reality is that methinks if this was rather a list of "Top Ten Gaffes" of some recent adminstration, you'd view it as "funny."

So you agree that this is a political post and should have been placed in the SZ. So what's your beef?

Well since I had already agreed with Brad that it was funny I just ignored your response about 'another administration' as attempt by you to provoke me. Thus if you want to point a 'polemic' finger at someone, point it at yourself.

This post crosses the line into political "humor". It really crosses the line into hostile, demeaning, belittling insult humor meant to increase your sense of superiority.

If you want it to be viewed as "funny" instead of political then use the "Lets make Friday 'Joke Day'!" thread. http://www.pilotsofamerica.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12125&highlight=friday People let you get away with more there.

Actually, I will as long there is a Twinkie or Ho Ho ensconsed within...

It's funny, accurate, and not "political."

It's service humor -- they don't give out awards for being politically correct out on the line.

Not sure why you are bringing up being PC. My only objection is that it is posted in the wrong section of PoA.
